With the stone base construction of the Ermioni Super-Yacht Marina continuing throughout November and December 2025, revised details have emerged regarding the completed project, expected to be operational in 2027.  The project will include 26 buildings constructed from local stone and plaster.  These buildings will include administration offices, retail spaces, restaurants and a 20-room boutique accommodation.  The layout will be based around a commercial street, a central plazza and a waterfront promenade linking the different parts of the development.  Vehicle access and parking will be positioned behind the waterfront to prioritise pedestrian movement along the shoreline.  Landscaping will extend the promenade into the marina and include seating areas and small parks with native trees.

The completed Ermioni Marina project will cover 96.3 acres of sea and 20.4 acres of land.  The inner harbour basin will feature 4 floating piers totalling 385m, a 70m maneuvering circle with a 62m wide entrance.  The new marina will offer 256 mooring berths, including 231 permanent and 25 seasonal spaces, accommodating motor boats and sailing vessels up to 60 metres in length.

Since the original Ermioni Super-Yacht Marina project was announced and confirmed back in July 2013, delays were experienced with the original developers, so new contractors were assigned that resulted in minor design modifications from the original plans.  The present Ermioni Marina project is now owned by Ermionida S.A.  Neiheiser Argyros is responsible for architecture, land planning and landscape design.  Marnet S.A. leads the sea zone masterplan, marine works design and environmental studies.

A recent study on the Greek yachting market has revealed a major shortage of berths for large recreation boats, which are often chartered from abroad to sail in Greek waters.  For 90% of Greek marinas any yacht over 12 metres is too big, when most popular yachts are 15m to 18m in size, with no water, refuelling or toilets.  In addition, not many Greek marinas can offer seasonal summer mooring for 3-month stays for example, which means the owners either have to find shipyards that take their boat out of the water, or sail on to different countries.  Greece could have additional revenues of 470 million euros from the current level if it adjusted VAT and other charges on charters to the average rates applied by Italy, Spain, France, Croatia and Turkey.  Hopefully, the Ermioni Marina project, once completed, will attract some of the larger boats to this area, letting owners appreciate the beauty of Ermioni.
