Greece has once again been recognised at the World's Best Tourism Destination for 2025 at the Global Traveller GT Survey awards, marking an exceptional fifth consecutive year at the top of the prestigious global ranking.  The award reflects sustained international confidence in Greece as a leading destination for leisure, culture, gastronomy and hospitality.  Securing the top position five years in a row places Greece among a very small group of destinations to demonstrate such consistent global appeal. 

Paros Island in Greece earned the top spot as World's Best Island for 2025 in Travel + Leisure's annual rankings, a first for the island, despite its consistent presence on their Best European Island list.  Famous during the Cycladic era for its Parian marble, Paros has a storied past, having been governed by Romans, Venetians and Ottomans before joining modern Greece in 1832.
