The Hellenic Council of State have authorised a €203 million hotel project in Ermionida, by Abu Dhabi Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan.  From the royal family of the United Arab Emirates, the Sheikh is building a luxury resort on the site of the old 'Ermioni Club' resort, a local landmark that used to offer 450 beds, located along the coastal Ermioni-Porto Heli public road, west of the Petrothalassa islet, 8 kms from Ermioni.  The hotel project is called 'Scarlet Beach' with a strategic plan thet blends luxury with sustainability and bringing international standards to Ermionida, reshaping the region's tourism landscape.  The hotel project covers an area of 217,518 Sqm, with only 12% land coverage, and all construction, expected to commence this summer 2025, will adhere to strict environmental standards.

At the heart of the 'Scarlet Beach' project is a five-star hotel with 121 rooms, built to near-zero energy consumption standards, with internal transportation by electric vehicles.  The hotel resort will also include 15 luxury residences, 9 of which will be branded residences and the other 6 as private villas.  The completed resort will feature wellness areas, a spa, cultural venues, a beach club, gastronomic centres, shops, sports facilities and a private marina.  Special provisions will be made for accessibility for people with disabilities and families with children.  The project's maximum building height is set at 10.75m for the hotel and 7.5m for the residences. Buildings used for dining, recreation, hygiene facilities, sports activities and playgrounds cannot exceed 3.5m in height.

The Waldorf Astoria brand, part of Hilton's executive line, will manage the 5-star hotel and holiday homes, aiming to attract high-net-worth clients.  The multi-million 'Scarlet Beach' project is a significant addition to Ermionida's luxury accommodations, complementing the existing Amanzoe luxury hotel and resort, the redevelopment of the 5-star Four Seasons luxury hotel resort at Hinitsa Bay, and the planned 5-star luxury hotel within the new super-yacht Marina complex presently being constructed in Ermioni.
