FRIDOLIN - Sep '26
The story started with a German tourist finding a stray cat family in Nafplio, a mother and her three kittens. One of the three kittens was a sickly, beraggled creature that was half the size of its other siblings. The tourist put out an SOS message for local assistance to help this small baby. However, with no local replies, this plea for help was eventually conveyed to us, to see if we could help. By chance, we found out that a German couple were on holiday in Nafplio at this time, and were coming over to our home to collect a kitten that had been rescued months earlier, that they were going to adopt. This couple found the sick kitten, took it to a local vet for a check-up, and brought it over with them as they were about to collect Freddie the Greek from us. We thought it was a good exchange, bring one, take one.
After a month in our home, with specific medication, Fridolin's fur has slowly started to grow back all over his body, even his tail, which has stopped him looking like a starved rat and begin to look like a healthy young kitten. Fridolin is eating well, but has not really increased in size as yet, maybe his early feral setbacks will take some time to rectify. Another GreekSTRAYS kitten saved.
